FoxTelecolombia’s La Mariposa to premiere Tuesday on MundoFox

La Mariposa, series produced by FoxTelecolombia for RCN, will premiere Tuesday, Dec. 4 on MundoFox in the U.S. The series first had an online premiere Thursday Nov. 29 through an exclusive Facebook app. During its time on RCN this year, the production quickly took over the Colombian primetime, marking 41.4% of audience share its third day of transmission. Starring Maria Adelaida Puerta and Michel Brown, La Mariposa is an action series based on true events that tells a love story intertwined with crime and lies. Filmed in Miami, Mexico, Cartagena and Bogota, the show is inspired by the story of the famous Colombian journalist Gerardo Reyes who uncovered the wrongdoings of Marlen Navarro, played by Puerta, a woman dedicated to laundering assets from narcotics. Michel Brown plays an undercover agent heading the operation to capture Navarro, though with time, he ends up falling in love with her.
